A private island in the Kabalebo River, built by an Indigenous family, bed or hammock for the same price, and a guide and boat always close by.

An Indigenous family business
Wannawiro Nature Park is run by an Indigenous family from the village of Apoera, with deep ties to the nature and community of West Suriname.
The team built the huts themselves, in traditional Indigenous style with local materials. Culture, hospitality and nature go hand in hand here.
